Bitumage de la route Ahala2-Afanoyoa : Le maire de la ville de Yaoundé lance le chantier ce jour
Ce mercredi 22 février 2023, le maire de la ville de Yaoundé a officiellement lancé les travaux de bitumage de la route Ahala2-Afanoyoa. Les travaux divisés en trois phases s’étaleront sur 12 mois.
« J’ai signé il y a quelques jours l’ordre de service de démarrage des travaux sur cette route dont le bitumage est attendu depuis des décennies. Je suis venu m’assurer du démarrage effectif des travaux. C’est le cas, et le chantier évolue à un rythme satisfaisant », a déclaré Luc MESSI ATANGANA après avoir parcouru à pieds les premiers kilomètres déjà terrassés. Le chantier de construction de la route Ahala2-Afanoyoa vise s’étend de 7 Km sur l’itinéraire Ahala2-Rivière Nyomo et Carrefour Afanoyoa-Lycée d’Afanoyoa. Les travaux divisés en trois phases s’étaleront sur 12 mois. Cette route relie le département du Mfoundi à celui de la Mefou-Akono en passant par Bikok.
Le projet de construction de la route Ahala2-Afaneyoa sera réalisé sur fonds propres de la Communauté urbaine de Yaoundé à hauteur de 3,12 milliards de FCFA. « Nous avons mis de côté des provisions financières sur fonds propres pour que ces travaux puissent se réaliser sans interruption », a insisté Luc MESSI ATANGANA.
Le Génie militaire mobilisé par la Communauté Urbaine de Yaoundé a la charge de conduire les travaux sans interruption, a instruit le maire de la Ville. « Retenez qu’à trois mois au moins du début de chaque phase d’exécution des travaux, vous devrez aviser la Communauté urbaine pour que des dispositions nécessaires, notamment financières, soient prises à temps afin que le travail puisse se faire sans aucune interruption ni ralentissement, de telle manière que les délais de travaux puissent être tenus », a déclaré Luc MESSI ATANGANA.
Le Directeur du Génie militaire, colonel Jackson Kamgain a tenu à rassurer le maire de la ville que les délais d’exécution seront effectivement respectés sinon raccourcis, au vu des travaux déjà réalisés. « D’ici la fin de la semaine, nous aurons terminé d’installer notre base sur le site. Ce qui nous permettra de nous déployer sur le terrain chaque jour. Nous sommes sur le point de terminer la première phase du projet qui consiste en la réhabilitation de la voie en terre et la reconstitution de la couche de fondation en grave latéritique. Initialement prévue pour s’achever en fin avril, la phase 1 devrait être terminée d’ici mi-mars. Dans la foulée, nous allons lancer directement la deuxième phase qui sera consacrée aux travaux d’assainissement et d’ouvrages hydrauliques. Nous sommes sur le point de lancer la préfabrication des caniveaux », a indiqué le directeur du Génie militaire.
Grâce à ce chantier, cette zone rurale de Yaoundé, située dans le 3e arrondissement de la ville, sera reliée au centre-ville au grand bonheur des populations sorties nombreuses pour remercier et encourager le maire de la Ville. L’enthousiasme était à son comble d’autant plus que, quelques mois plus tôt, la Communauté urbaine de Yaoundé a installé un réseau d’éclairage public à panneaux solaires le long de l’itinéraire à bitumer.
