Gabon, Atelier de formation des Responsables des banques de sang et transfusion sanguine
Environnement sanitaire, sur instructions du Ministre de la Santé et des Affaires Sociales, la Direction générale des établissements et des prestations de Santé (DGEPS) a organisé le 15 juin 2022 à la salle de réunion du Centre national de transfusion sanguine (CNTS), une formation des responsables des banques de sang des Centres hospitaliers régionaux (CHR) et hôpitaux de Coopération.
Inscrite dans le cadre de la bonne gouvernance des établissements de santé, cette formation fait suite au diagnostic posé par le CNTS lors de l’évaluation des activités des banques de sang en 2021, lequel diagnostic révélait des disparités dans l’application des normes de sécurité transfusionnelle en matière de collecte, de qualification et de distribution des poches de sang.
L’objectif recherché pour cette formation est donc de renforcer les capacités des Responsables des banques de sang des CHR et hôpitaux de coopération en transfusion sanguine, conformément aux directives nationales portant sur le circuit transfusionnel et l’utilisation rationnelle du sang en pratique clinique.
C’est ainsi que les différents responsables de banque de sang, ont été formés sur les aspects relatifs aux notions essentielles de sécurité transfusionnelle et aux risques immuno- hématologiques, la sélection des donneurs de sang à la qualification biologique des dons mais aussi sur la préparation, le transport, la conservation et la délivrance des produits sanguins labiles ainsi que les éléments de surveillance et incidents transfusionnels.
A cette occasion Alice Bikissa Nembe, Directeur générale des établissements et des prestations de Santé est revenue sur l’importance et l’intérêt de la transfusion sanguine. «La transfusion sanguine est un acte médical essentiel qui permet de sauver des vies.
Cependant, les produits sanguins à usage thérapeutique présentent des risques pour le receveur et nécessitent le respect des principes de bonnes pratiques transfusionnelles dans leur utilisation. C’est la raison pour laquelle ces normes de sécurité transfusionnelle doivent être appliquées dans les CHU, CHR et les hôpitaux de coopération. C’est tout l’intérêt de cet atelier de formation qui rassemble les responsables des banques de sang desdites structures.» a-t-elle indiqué. Au sortir de cet atelier de formation.
