Journée mondiale du nettoyage : Les membres de la société civile se préparent à agir
En prélude à ladite qui aura lieu Samedi 17 septembre 2022, partout dans le monde et aussi à Cameroun précisément à Yaoundé et Douala, des opérations de nettoyage sont organisées par Carrefour market dans une ambiance festive pour ramasser les déchets.
« La propreté est une affaire de tous ! C’est pourquoi le 17 septembre prochain, jeunes, vieux, fonctionnaires, chômeurs, associations, riverains pour ne citer que ceux-là seront invités à se mobiliser pour une opération de grand nettoyage dans plusieurs secteurs de la ville de Yaoundé et Douala ». C’est à travers ces mots que Armand – Xavier Boban, Coordonnateur national des activités de Carrefour a pris la parole pour affirmer son engagement et sa détermination à vouloir rendre l’environnement sain. Cette opération de nettoyage débutera ce jour à partir 06h15 et prendra fin à 08h30.
L’événement débutera jeudi 15 septembre avec une conférence de presse qui se tiendra à Playce Warda dès 14h30 à Yaoundé ouvert au public. Partout dans le monde et au Cameroun en particulier, précisément à Yaoundé et Douala, des opérations de nettoyage pour le compte de la journée mondiale du nettoyage seront accompagnées par le groupe Cfao Retail Cameroun encore appelé Carrefour Cameroun dans une ambiance festive pour ramasser les déchets. Le groupe CFAO retail Cameroun (Carrefour Cameroun) accompagne cet événement en fournissant des gants, des sacs et tout le nécessaire aux participants mais aussi en prenant en charge la collecte des déchets ramassés. « Cette activité concernera tout le monde et tout le monde sera attendu ce jour pour qu’ensemble nous puissions essayer de retirer le maximum de déchets plastiques que nous même jetons dans nos rues pour une seule fois en un an » a communiqué Bertrand Mvondo, membre de la société civil et Président de l’association Emergence Sans Frontières.
Le World CleanUp Day est un mouvement de citoyens sans frontière crée par l’organisation LET’S DO IT qui unit le public, les entreprises, les écoles, les collectivités et les associations du monde entier autour d’une action positive et festive en ramassant des déchets qui polluent au quotidien notre environnement, qu’il soit urbain ou non. Pour rappel, une grande partie des mégots jetés dans la rue ont de fortes chances de finir dans l’océan, via les égouts et la Seine.
