Une délégation de L’agence gabonaise de la normalisation devise avec les membres du FSC bassin du Congo
Le Directeur de la normalisation au sein de l’AGANOR était le 25 mars 2021 à la rencontre de l’équipe FSC Bassin du Congo. Objectif, s’imprégner de la récente publication de la norme FSC pour le Gabon entrée en vigueur le 15 Mars et la présentation des objectifs stratégiques pour la mise en oeuvre de la généralisation de la certification FSC.
Le gouvernement du Gabon s’est donné pour ambition de faire certifier toutes les concessions forestières du pays d’ici à fin 2022. Le FSC, dans le cadre de son accord de coopération avec le ministère des eaux et forêts met à contribution son expertise technique pour que le gouvernement avance dans sa résolution vers la réalisation de cette ambition. Au cours des échanges avec la délégation de l’agence gabonaise de la normalisation (AGANOR), le Coordinateur du FSC Bassin du Congo Georges Akwah Neba a rappelé à ses hôtes l’engagement du FSC dans l’accompagnement technique et le renforcement des capacités du personnel de l’Agence Gabonaise de la normalisation.
Créée en 1993 un an après le Sommet de la terre à Rio par la volonté d’un groupe d’entreprises, d’associations environnementales et des représentants des droits sociaux, le FSC est une organisation non gouvernementale. Aux nombres de ces ambitions et missions, l’on note la préservation et le partage des valeurs forestières, la promotion d’une gestion responsable de toutes les forêts sur le plan environnemental, économique et social.
