Violences faites aux femmes riveraines : Le RADD et le J4E disent stop !!
La journée mondiale de la lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes a été célébrée ce 25 novembre sous le thème ‘’ Mettre fin à la violence à l’égard des femmes et des filles dans le contexte du changement climatique’’ marque le début de la campagne d’activisme du RADD (Réseau des acteurs du développement durable) et l’association J4E (Journalist FOR EARTH) contre les violences faites aux riveraines des plantation monoculture d’arbre au Cameroun.
Les Etats ne garantissent pas aux femmes riveraines spoliées de leurs ressources des compensations substantielles durables. En conséquence, elles se retrouvent abandonnées à elles-mêmes risquant les pires violences et les pires frustrations de toutes sortes qui portent atteintes à leur dignité.
Les industries extractives comme les projets de barrage, les extractions de gaz naturel, de pétrole, les grandes déforestations pour les grandes plantations, monocultures d’arbres pour ne citer que ceux-là sont portées par nos Etats et sont les principaux responsables des changements climatiques.
Au regard de ce dangereux phénomènes, le RADD et le J4E lancent une campagne numérique de 16 jours pour sensibiliser et dénoncer les abus et outrages dont sont victimes les femmes riveraines.
Le principal but de cette campagne étant d’encourager les femmes à poursuivre les combats pour la sauvegarde de leurs droits fondamentaux et leurs ressources vitales de prendre l’opinion publique à témoin et d’appeler les gouvernements et les bailleurs de fonds à octroyer des mesures et moyens pour protéger la femme riveraine contre les grands projets dont la précarité s’amplifie avec les changements climatiques.
