Changement climatique : Un réel problème pour l’Afrique
C’est dans un contexte mondial particulièrement marqué par une crise climatique, économique et sociale que l’Egypte accueillera du 7 au 18 novembre prochain la COP 27, qui marque une étape cruciale dans les négociations climatiques.
Le monde, en particulier l’Afrique est confrontée à de multiples problèmes tels que des inondations, la sècheresse, des pertes et dommages pour ne citer que ceux-là, causés en majeure partie par le changement climatique et exacerbant d’une manière ou d’une autre la pauvreté au niveau du continent.
La COP27 doit alors être vue comme un tournant pour une action climatique ambitieuse en faveur des pays et des communautés les plus vulnérables, tout en permettant à la société civile de mieux se mobiliser afin d’exiger des décideurs plus d’ambitions climatiques. Cela passant également au niveau national. Raison pour laquelle l’Association Camerounaise pour le Développement, l’Entraide Sociale et la Protection de l’Environnement (ACDESPE) a organisé sous le parrainage du Délégué Départemental de l’Environnement du Wouri avec l’appui financier de Climate Action Network-west and Central Africa (CANWA) une mini conférence à Université Catholique St Jérôme de Douala le 19 Octobre dernier sur le thème ‘’Rendre accessibles et bénéfiques les marchés internationaux du carbone pour les communautés locales au Cameroun’’.
L’Association Camerounaise pour le Développement, l’Entraide Sociale et la Protection de l’Environnement (ACDESPE) œuvre depuis le niveau local jusqu’au niveau central pour la protection de l’environnement et la lutte contre les changements climatiques, à travers la promotion de l’économie verte et les marchés internationaux du carbone.
